Firefox Reaches 21 Million
Mozilla Firefox 1.0 has seen a 21 million download since 9 November when it was released.
Since then it has garnered more than 7% market share at the expense of Microsofts Internet Explorer which has for the first time seen its market share dip below the crucial 90% mark since 2001.
Firefox has mainly gathered momentum due to increasing security concerns from Microsoft Internet Explorer, which seems to be exposed of a new security threat every week. Firefox till date has had just one security flaw till date which has been rated at 2/5 which is nothing compared to number of IEs threats that have been reported of Crutical Nature. It is safe from those hack you seem to get when u visit sites like ur homepage or search settings being changed without your knowledge.
Firefox has much better speeds than Internet Explorer and a much more ceaner clutter free look. It has even customisable themes which IE dosent have.
The other important reason is the feature called tabbed browsing which opens other pages open as a tab in the main window thus reducing the clutter in the taskbar
It has an excellent pop up blocker which finally came in IE after the SP2, but its way better than what IE has to offer
The best part about firefox is that it is very easy on your system. Even if one is not blessed with a decent config it works just fine without any glitches or troubles

1. Tabbed browser Prefrences.: This one just enhances the great tabbed browsing in firefox.
2. Adblock: Just blocks all those annoying ads on a website
3. McSearch Preview: It just gives us a small thumbnail preview of the website on google/yahoo search.
